On March 11, 2021, Congress and President Biden approved the American Rescue Plan Act, 2021 (ARP Act). Under this Act, Bastyr University has been granted $549,529 to be used as direct grants made to students.
We have exhausted all grant funding under this program. This web page will be updated at least every quarter with statistics regarding how many student have received grants, and the total dollar amount of the grant that has been disbursed to students.

On December 21, 2020, Congress introduced the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSA Act). This act was signed into law on December 27, 2020. Under this Act, Bastyr University was granted $303,471 to be used as direct grants made to students.

On April 9, 2020, Bastyr University applied (and subsequently was approved) for funding under the CARES Act. We have signed and returned to the Department of Education (ED) the Certification and Agreement document to finalize this funding.
Bastyr University received $527,497.00 in funding through the CARES Act. We used over 50% of these funds as Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students who were eligible for federal financial aid. The other 50% of grant was used to reimburse COVID related expenses incurred by the University. Bastyr had roughly 800 students who were eligible for federal financial aid in April 2020.
