Desiree Aspiras is a counseling clinic supervisor at the Bastyr University Clinic where she supervises master's level student clinicians in the Counseling & Health Psychology Department.

Biography

Desiree Aspiras, LMFT, earned her Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego and BA in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed her practicum training at UCSD Outpatient Psychiatric Services. She currently works with individuals, couples, and families in private practice and teaches at both Bastyr University San Diego and University of San Diego. As a clinical supervisor, she practices from a systemic/relational and intersectional lens, and seeks to cultivate space where supervisees feel supported and empowered in their development as counselors. As an educator and therapist, she is focused on integrating creative, contemplative, and embodied practices into her work in mental health, higher education, and social justice.
