Constitutional hydrotherapy is the use of hot and cold towels interchangeably to support circulation. This treatment is paired with a device that provides electrical stimulation and attaches to the affected area using adhesive pads. The device sends a  mild electrical current to the area and provides additional relief.

Naturopathic doctors may also prescribe the use of an infrared dry sauna to assist with pain relief, as well as to rid your body of environmental toxins.

A Hubbard tub is a whirlpool 270 gallon tub used for full immersion in hot or cold water. The whirlpool gently massages the full body, and can be beneficial for patients with musculoskeletal conditions (arthritis, fibromyalgia, and more) and injury recovery. How it works – Immersing yourself in a Hubbard tub of water increases blood flow and can relax muscles and improve range of motion.

Peat mud may also be used in the tub and is about 90% water and 10% decomposed plant material. The plant material entraps heat. When placed in the bath and put in contact with the body, the peat slowly and gently transfers heat into the tissues, soothing pain and promoting healing.)
