Kris Somol

Dr. Somol is adjunct clinical faculty who suprervises naturopathic medicine students at the Lake Forest Park/Shoreline Community Center Community Care Site. Areas of specialty include gynecology, adolescent care, preventive medicine, and mental health.
Dr. Somol has spent over 30 years in the healing profession and graduated from Bastyr University with her naturopathic doctorate in 2005. She has been practicing primary care family medicine since graduation at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health in private practice and in team care. Her areas of specialty include gynecology and adolescent care. Dr. Somol teaches extensively at BU in gynecology, advanced gynecology, mental health, and postpartum care.

Dr. Somol completed a two-year residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, and has fostered many collaborative relationships within the medical community. She served as an intern in pediatrics, women’s health, tropical diseases and travel medicine, community health and acute and urgent conditions. She continues to be asked to lecture at professional conferences, including the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and the Advanced Practices Conference for Nurse Practitioners.
Dr. Somol takes a special interest in women’s health and adolescent medicine. She is especially focused on preventive care and sees a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
