Deb is a licensed mental health therapist working with youth, teens and adults. She supervises student clinicians on team care counseling shifts.
Deb Sommer graduated from Bastyr University's MACP program in 2016 and is a licensed mental health counselor with 8 years of experience helping people navigate depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD and trauma. She also specializes in life transitions, LGBTQ issues, grief and helps people work with the impact of social inequality, colonialism and oppression. Deb incorporates a strengths-based, values driven and skills-based approach with a neurodivergent affirming perspective. Deb has experience in group practice, community mental health and private practice settings. She is trained in TF-CBT, CBT+, DBT, ERP, mindfulness and family systems therapy and uses an IFS [Internal Family Systems] and attachment informed approach.
Deb loves the culture of aviation, the outdoors -whether hiking, camping or 4-wheeling and spending time with family and her dogs.
