Many people discover acupuncture in different ways and often times as a last resort. While acupuncture is more and more common today, it is not typically the first choice people seek out to treat health problems.

For Carsten Rode, the situation was the same. Struggling with constant shoulder and wrist pain he was attempting to treat these conditions with medication. Unsuccessful, the conversation turned to surgery. Knowing the minimal success rate surgery has in relieving pain, Carsten sought out alternative options. Eventually he found himself in an acupuncture clinic and the pain became a distant memory. Compelled by the results of his care, he decided to reconstruct his career path and become an acupuncturist himself.
