Dr. Parkinson supervises physical medicine shifts and holds an interest in treating irritable bowel syndrome; muscle, joint and back pain; and allergies.

Biography

Dr. Parkinson has been in clinical practice and in education since 1994. He has been faculty at Bastyr University first as a resident and then adjunct faculty and became core faculty in 1996. He teaches Naturopathic Medical students and residents in a clinical setting at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, the Teaching Clinic of Bastyr University. He holds a Doctoral degree in Naturopathic Medicine as well as Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees. He has taught Orthopedics and Spinal manipulation in the classroom and most enjoys teaching in a clinical setting.
Dr. Parkinson applies the Core Naturopathic Philosophies in his work with patients favoring non-pharmaceutical approaches but understanding the need on occasion for higher force interventions.
