Biography

"My goal with each patient is to create a collaborative relationship that provides support, encouragement and education. I want my patients to feel empowered as part of a community in which naturopaths and other providers work together to provide patient-centered care from prevention, through diagnosis and treatment, and into survivorship."

Dr. Sweet graduated from Bastyr University and completed her residency training at the National University of Natural Medicine. She earned a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Washington School of Public Health and completed a three-year NIH postdoctoral research fellowship at the Bastyr University Research Institute.

Her research focuses on studying the effects of integrative oncology (conventional oncology treatment in conjunction with evidence-informed naturopathic medicine) on health-related quality of life and clinical outcomes in people living with cancer. Her goal is to continue working toward greater understanding and acceptance of integrative medicine using research as a tool.
