Biography

Jeremy’s path to becoming a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner has been both personal and uniquely winding, yet always guided by his passion for wellness. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Western Washington University in 2006, with minors in Mandarin Chinese, History, and Anthropology. After graduation, he sought a way to combine his love of Chinese culture with his desire to help his community thrive.

A chance conversation over tea with a close friend rekindled his curiosity about acupuncture and TCM, reminding him of a memorable undergraduate course on the history and evolution of Chinese medicine. This spark led Jeremy to pursue formal studies at Bastyr University, where his commitment to holistic healing fully took shape.

Jeremy specializes in pain management, women’s health, and mental and emotional well-being. His treatments are highly individualized, blending traditional modalities such as acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, manual therapy, and dietary guidance with modern techniques like tuning forks, cold laser therapy, electro-acupuncture, and point injection therapy.

In 2016, Jeremy completed a three-week intensive internship at one of Shanghai’s most respected Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals. There, he witnessed the seamless integration of Eastern and Western medicine—an experience that continues to inspire his patient-centered approach and his ability to bridge these two medical philosophies.

Jeremy is a graduate of Bastyr University, where he earned his Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2016. He currently serves as a Clinical and Didactic Adjunct Faculty member at Bastyr, where he has been teaching and mentoring students since 2023. His roles include supervising clinical training at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health and teaching foundational courses such as Introduction to Chinese Herbal Medicine and Introduction to Chinese Herbal Formulas. Jeremy’s work in academia reflects his commitment to advancing the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine and supporting the development of the next generation of practitioners.

When not in the clinic or classroom, Jeremy enjoys exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with his golden doodle, Teddy. His favorite pastimes include disc golf, hiking, and camping
